Verdigris is on a mission to sustain and enrich human life through responsive energy intelligence. Our AI sensors automate energy management and predict unseen equipment failures in mission-critical buildings. This is a critical step for autonomous, sustainable environments responsive to their inhabitants.
You are interested in solving technical problems that have a positive impact on the world. You are looking to build visionary, scalable, and efficient data pipelines. You are a team-minded software expert who will refine our tech stack, our engineering culture, and impact our portfolio of mission-critical buildings. You can work from anywhere and stay productive--working fully remote is acceptable as long as you can pair for at least 3 or 4 hours with the team in San Francisco during a normal working day.
As a Senior Data Engineer at Verdigris you will be part of the team responsible for building the core platform and services to enable machine learning and data applications. This is a software engineering role and not a tool operator role. Your primary responsibility is to help mentor our team to produce a robust API and platform as a foundation for all other applications.
Comprised of embedded/hardware, ML/data scientists and Full-stack engineers, the Software Team's mission is to acquire high fidelity data from our sensors to help customers enhance operational efficiency and manage energy while fighting climate change. We organize as an agile workflow in 2 week sprints.
Applying to Verdigris is a chance to make an impact by joining a mission-driven startup. We're aggressively innovating for the energy management industry hoping to affect climate change. Verdigrisians aim to be ego-free authorities in our fields. We take our work seriously and strive for an opportunity-filled environment supportive of curious minds.
You can expect thoughtful, hardworking and funny teammates. When we are not sheltering-in-place, you can usually find someone to tour our historic NASA campus or make hummus or play "Among Us" with. We value differing perspectives and embrace candid, direct, and constant feedback. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, origin, gender, orientation, age, or status.

At configure8, we're creating the future of software development. There's never been a better time to be a developer - we have access to so much infrastructure and so many services, but the complexity of creating, managing, and discovering services, microservices, serverless functions, data pipelines and more has added a massive amount of complexity. configure8 is building a platform that empowers developers and devops engineers by simplifying and accelerating service development. We're building this platform so that you and other developers can have a simple way to create, manage, and discover services in your organization.
We're looking for a Devops Architect to lead the development of our infrastructure components. This is a critical element of our product. It's your chance to build something developers will truly want to use. We're early-stage. You'll be working with our small and growing team of seasoned developers with backgrounds that include Microsoft, Google, NASA, Yahoo!, and several successful early-stage start-ups. Expect to have lots of impact beyond infrastructure and a seat at the table helping us craft the vision of the company.
You're a self starter, work independently, are comfortable with ambiguity, able to articulate your point of view to the team, and love open/honest/critical conversations. You move fast, are thoughtful, and have a desire to learn and also make others great. You want to build close relationships with our customers. You are a fast learner with no religion on architecture/frameworks/languages. You believe your work is a reflection of you and your team and therefore it's got to be great. You're an amazing written, verbal and visual communicator. You have a passion for creating well factored, high reuse and extensible systems.
We're seeking someone so passionate about solving these problems that you're ready to quit your job and start a company to do this. You've been clawing at this but have never been able to productize your knowledge. You obsess about automating these pain points away, have entrepreneurial passion and want that experience, and, ideally, have had a diversity of client/implementation exposure over a number of tools and companies - you've got broad empathy
We offer platinum quality health, vision and dental plans 99% paid for by the company, as well as an unlimited vacation policy.
We also offer a unique learning experience for those passionate about building products and companies from the ground up. Gain exposure to this process from colleagues who have built and scaled start-ups, launched new products like Bing and Google Voice, led engineering organizations from 2 people to 1,200+, and much more.
Competitive compensation package.

We're building the next generation of dev tools to support teams in building and running apps on Kubernetes. This is a new category of tooling called “Internal Developer Platforms”. Pioneered for some time in companies such as Spotify, Github, Airbnb, and others we are providing the fastest way for teams to build their own Internal Developer Platforms. Internal Developer Platforms provide a developer experience as simple as Heroku but on top of the tech and tools the team uses already. They allow ops teams to stay in control while enabling developers to self-serve the tech they need. Do you want to spin up an environment to do some quick testing? No problem! Need to clone Production to troubleshoot an issue without risking more problems? Easy! Need to stand up a new database for your service but ops is busy? Piece of cake! We have our first version out the door and have happy customers using the product in production.
The majority of our company are engineers. Our management team is made up of Ex-Google, Ex-McKinsey, and serial entrepreneurs. We're backed by experts in the DevOps space such as Sohaib Abbasi (Oracle, Redhat, New Relic) and Mirko Novakovic (Instana, recently acquired by IBM).
We're looking for people who could land a job at the likes of Google, Amazon, or Microsoft - but prefer the excitement, challenge, and daring of being part of a disruptive startup. We focus on your talents and personality - your background, origin, or gender will never make a difference to us.
We are looking to hire a remote QA/Test Engineer to work as part of our core engineering team to design, develop and build high-quality software for our users. You should have experience working on distributed systems and should be obsessed with quality with a proven record of working effectively across functional organizations. Experience in DevOps tools and automated testing is a plus. Test frameworks in use: Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright. Everything is on Kubernetes. We pay top 5% in the market, stocks are part of the package. Work is fully remote and we work exclusively with senior engineers in small, lean, and self-organized teams. We currently prefer time zones UTC-1 to UTC+3.

Proton.ai is revolutionizing wholesale distribution. Distributors sell nearly every physical good you come across. Key to the economy, they make up over 28% of GDP. But there's a problem. Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of complicated SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. Proton cuts through this complexity with AI. We provide a solution that modernizes distributors' sales efforts. And in doing so, we help distributors better serve their customers.
Our company is in hyper growth mode. We've grown >6X YoY. Needless to say, it's an exciting time to join the Proton.ai team.

Our DevOps engineer will be responsible for managing deployments, existing services, and the creation of new services. This role has the potential for growth, having the opportunity to implement creative tooling for infrastructure or workflow automation, defining new policies/procedures, and coming up with interesting ways to optimize our cloud costs or improve monitoring and visibility.
You will help refine where we need to be for DevOps and infrastructure, and assist in managing a plan for how to move towards that vision. You will problem solve infrastructure related issues, and aid in scoping feasibility of new projects or infrastructure changes. Together with the team, you will help create and implement a comprehensive plan for an automated, observable, and scalable development lifecycle and infrastructure strategy.
