This position reports to the Director of DevOps, and as part of the larger engineering team, you will work to ensure that HarperDB continues to deliver an innovative product to the market.

Beast Code began in 2014 as a few friends with a dream to transcend the traditional defense solution paradigm. Today, we are a workforce of more than 100 beasts headquartered in Fort Walton Beach. Our projects continue to grow as we build better solutions for our clients and drive the next wave of software development and technology on the Emerald Coast of Florida.
Beast Code is Tenacious, Resourceful, Collaborative, Passionate, and Disruptive. These qualities ensure that Beast Code exceeds expectations and develops meaningful applications.
Beast Code is searching for a DevOps Engineer to serve as a Kubernetes sensei of sorts, helping find balance between development and operations as it relates to releasing new software and ensuring it is stable and reliable.
To join our dojo, this DevOps Engineer must be proficient in using Kubernetes to assist in the development and operation of secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure, platforms, and applications in both on-site and multiple cloud environments. The DevOps Engineer should be a confident communicator and comfortable collaborator who can work closely with Cybersecurity, IT Operations, DevOps, and Software Engineers in a team atmosphere to create new IT environments and features — and maintain existing ones — for developers and customers alike.
Beast Code has become renowned for our understanding and application of the DoD DevSecOps reference architecture, which calls for a zero-trust architecture that utilizes a Continuous Delivery pipeline, ensuring that all services and applications are secure and can be rapidly deployed or updated on-demand with minimum disruption to availability. At the heart of this capability is a Kubernetes-powered container orchestration system, therefore our ideal DevOps Engineer candidate is a Kubernetes subject matter expert capable of handling the security, availability, and performance of multiple Kubernetes clusters and the applications/services they run.
The DevOps Engineer must also possess a strong practical knowledge of IT automation and configuration management using cloud-native, open-source tools, and software engineering techniques/methodologies. Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is another skill our SRE should possess.
If you check all the above boxes, then punch your way through the long list of requirements below. If you make it to the end and you're still sure you have what it takes, then reach out to us and come kick down the door for your interview. No worries, no board-breaking tests will be applied. But we do have some pretty tight security parameters here, so please don't literally kick our doors. The paperwork would be unfathomable.

Cohesion is a leading Intelligent Buildings software solution that is disrupting how buildings operate and how people engage with buildings – from real estate owners/investors, operators, building engineers, to tenants and visitors. Our cutting-edge converged IoT-enabled platform brings together building systems, building software, and business applications into a single portal for on web and mobile platforms to forge the path to autonomous buildings.
We are searching for a DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in our Chicago office. This role will report to the Program Director. We are small and our people wear many hats; this role is no different. The DevOps Engineer writes code in support of the whole platform so that development teams can focus on feature development. The DevOps Engineer partners with Platform and Site Reliability engineers to harden the platform. Success looks like a platform we do not have to talk about – it just works. Infrastructure is there when we need it, and deployments are so efficient and boring that they are taken for granted. The right candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, working through challenging problems, and enabling several delivery teams to operate with world-class efficiency, sustainability, and quality.
You might be the perfect fit for this role if you:
Whatever it takes: Day 1 is kind of a freebie because of onboarding, but from Day 2 on, what you will do is mostly whatever it takes to get stuff done. We have a ton of things going on, and what we need most out of this role is a person who finds the key things that will make a huge difference to the overall platform and gets them knocked out fast and well – without a whole lot of direction or specific guidance. Here are some bullets that help understand the role:
