Working to solve our climate crisis is the most important mission of our time, and the most exciting problem to be working on in tech. If you want to have a real impact, come join our talented, passionate team. Our company is based in Amsterdam but we work remotely, with people living all over Western Europe and in the U.S.
Overstory's mission is to help solve our climate crisis by providing real-time intelligence about the planet's vegetation. In our first step toward this mission, we are applying machine learning to satellite imagery to track forests and vegetation, helping to reduce the risk of wildfires and power outages. We just raised a round of funding, led by Moxxie Ventures and Capital T. Other investors include: Pale Blue Dot, Omidyar Technology Ventures, Toba Capital, Overwater Ventures, Climate Capital and Techstars. With a dozen paying clients, we have already proven our business model and we're all united behind our ambitious vision to scale up this model to help humanity and the planet.
We are a remote-first company: we have an office in Amsterdam, but our team is distributed across Europe (Amsterdam, Lisbon, London, Milan, The Hague). Ideally, you're in a time zone +/- 1 hour from CET.
We are looking for a Senior Devops Engineer who is a creative, but pragmatic, problem-solver. You'll spend most of your time working autonomously or within a small team, building and improving our cloud based infrastructure. This work will involve the continued development of our infra-as-code cloud technology, maintaining our Kubernetes and Dask and other computation clusters. As well as support our AI-technology stack, and making sure out cloud infrastructure is scalable and up to date. You will have responsibility for your own projects, and we'll expect you to take initiative to help us improve overall.
We're a group of 19 people from all over the world (Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, US, France, Russia). We're all united behind a big vision to help humanity and the planet. We all work remotely, and occasionally (optionally!) meet for in-person collaboration.
We place enormous value on diversity and inclusion with regards to gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, education, disability, disciplines and skillsets. We believe that the best ideas emerge when people with different perspectives and approaches work together on a problem.
We're always looking to diversify our team further, but we're proud of the fact that four out of the six people on our leadership team are female or non-white males, 38% of the overall team identifies as female and 25% of the team are people of color. Eight nationalities are represented in our team, and we speak eight languages: English, Dutch, French, Italian, Indonesian, Portuguese, Cantonese and Russian.

Ever faster technological progress offers huge potential for disruption. Let's harness the potential offered by machine learning (ML), computer vision, and the cloud to shake up the insurance industry and revolutionize claims processes.
We are a fledgling startup based in Zurich and our goal is to tap precisely this potential to scale it up across Europe.
We have specific ideas for use cases that we now want to implement using cutting-edge technology. We don't know yet whether we'll be successful, but that is exactly what spurs us on. Let's find a way to make it possible!
The tasks we are tackling in our startup, a company that now operates wholly independently of AXA, are diverse, demanding, and exciting. There's a lot of development work to do and much we can achieve.
As in a small team of about 10 people the operation of the platform will not be a 100% task (at least not in the beginning), we need a team member who can also support with other development topics. As it should be for a startup...
Are you on board? Then let's get cracking.
Your job will be to build and operate a sustainable and scalable cloud infrastructure based on Google Cloud, which communicates with different components via APIs. The initial work will be done together with an external partner, who will also support you during the setup.

Ambassador Labs (formerly Datawire), the cloud native developer experience leader, enables developers to code, ship, and run applications faster and easier than ever. Maker of top Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) open source projects, including Emissary-ingress and Telepresence, Ambassador Labs delivers a developer control plane for Kubernetes that integrates the development, deployment, and production infrastructure for developers and organizations worldwide including Microsoft, PTC, NVidia, and Ticketmaster. Ambassador Labs is backed by top investors including Insight Partners, Matrix Partners, Trinity Ventures, and Four Rivers Group.
We are looking to hire engineers that care as much about empowering developers as we do and have embraced the cloud native phenomenon that is taking over the world. We strongly believe that Ambassador Labs' success is dependent on hiring a diverse team. Diversity means a broader spectrum of perspectives, ways of working and approaches to solving problems; we feel it is critical to helping foster the creativity, innovation and sound decision-making our customers love us for!
Ambassador Labs is a remote-first company with “pods” in Boston, Portland and Montreal. Everyone is 100% remote, and that's the way we'll stay. We do have a few physical offices for team members to go to on a part-time basis to fuel their creativity through brainstorming and watercooler conversations, if you're looking for that. This is our way of offering the best of both worlds.
As an engineer at Ambassador Labs, you will be working on products aimed at drastically improving the way cloud native developers work. Your impact will be felt by thousands of users at companies like Epic Games, Microsoft, PTC, Ticketmaster, Cisco and Unity Technologies. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team of smart and empathetic software engineers. The role is focused primarily on development of new products and services.
We have loosely adopted Basecamp's Shape-Up approach to development by undertaking well-shaped projects in six-week cycles. As a team, our focus is firmly on products that help users make the shift to the cloud with Kubernetes, front and center.
Note that on-call responsibility is shared among all engineers in the organization, currently one week every three months.
You are an engineer who enjoys developing products and you consider yourself a networking and distributed systems aficionado. At the core, you are motivated by figuring out ways for developers (your people!) to own their work through the power of microservices and Kubernetes. You're driven by understanding customers and their problems. You move with purposeful action and, most importantly, you pride yourself on execution.
We're looking for candidates with a strong track record of putting Golang to use to bring products to life. You've already had some direct exposure to Kubernetes and have a passion for creating WOW experiences while at the same time making continuous improvements. Have a great idea? Act on it! You don't have to go through layers of bureaucracy to get things done at Ambassador Labs (first of all because that's against our philosophy, and secondly because we don't have layers of bureaucracy!).
We are looking forward to hearing from you. We move quickly and decisively. We don't need to talk to 20 other candidates to make a decision, so if the fit feels right on both sides, you can be part of the team as soon as next week! The first step is speaking to our People Person, followed by the engineering leadership, and then a few of your future colleagues/team members. Interviews are typically 30 - 45 minutes, all remote. We'll talk through your background, your approach to work, and dive into your technical knowledge. No algorithms, no off-the-cuff coding sessions, or brainteasers: we want to hear about your real-life experience and successes, especially the users that you've made happy.
This is a demanding application process and a significant career move that's well worth considering. We appreciate you giving us that consideration, and we promise to give you our full attention in return. Talk to you soon!

Quantum Metric helps organizations build better digital products faster. Our platform for Continuous Product Design gives business and technical teams a single version of truth that's fast, quantified, and grounded on what customers actually experience. The result: Teams agree on priorities, build products customers love, and innovate with speed and confidence.
The Platform Services team is responsible for creating and managing the platforms that power our products. For us, that means providing our teams with reliable, resilient, and performant data ingestion / data access systems. We ingest massive amounts of data, process it, and make it available for further use as quickly as possible. As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of these systems, typically using a combination of Go, Kubernetes, and hosted Google Cloud Services for your daily tasks.
While you'll occasionally work on the APIs and data pipelines that power our user-facing systems, you'll spend most of your time building the platforms that make the API and data pipeline work possible for other teams without our direct involvement. You'll work regularly with operations and other platform teams to continually enhance the stability of our systems, and you'll also work alongside our feature and data science teams to enhance our service offerings.
You love developing software and your passion for building with code is palpable. You love spending time creating efficient, performant, and reliable data processing systems. You are particularly fond of building and using distributed systems to solve problems at scale. You love building applications and tooling on top of Go and Kubernetes, and you are familiar with how to make your applications observable for production operations.
While you're a developer with a passion for writing good code, you also enjoy brainstorming sessions with your peers and product owners to discover the best solution to a problem. You see the importance of providing input and considering the points-of-view of those around you. At the end of the day, you enjoy being part of a healthy team culture that practices mutual respect.
This will be the best group that you ever work with! We support one another through challenges and win as a team. Your hard work will be well rewarded. Most importantly, you'll be strapped to a technology rocket ship bound for greatness! Your success at Quantum Metric will be a milestone in your career.
