What you’ll do

As a System Administrator, you will be part of a highly cross-functional team working with mobile, frontend, and backend engineers, as well as the rest of the company on a broad scope of activities at Motocho. Your responsibilities will include:

  • provisioning, configuring, and maintaining the Motocho network;
  • performing and overseeing the backup, replication, clustering, failover, and load balancing;
  • configuring the Palo Alto firewall and reviewing the security requirements;
  • executing operational and maintenance activities via planned work;
  • overseeing user account creation and access management;
  • troubleshooting, monitoring, and resolving high priority incidents within SLA;
  • managing, coordinating, and implementing software upgrades, patches, hotfixes on our servers;
  • proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning;
  • maintaining best practices on managing systems and services across all environments;
  • participating as a subject matter expert on process improvement, and training & tool development.

Requirements

Must have

  • at least 7 years of working experience as System Administrator;
  • knowledge of Palo Alto Firewall;
  • expert in Linux;
  • Nginx load balancer;
  • Docker/Kubernetes.

Nice to have

  • AWS certification on SysOps
