Senior Security Architect with Google

As a Senior Security Architect for Google Cloud, you'll provide technical guidance to customers adopting Google's on premise cloud solutions. You will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You will provide ongoing security assessments, facilitate, and collaborate with customers on all aspects of security, including testing, threat monitoring, network security, posture management, detection and response, digital forensics, and compliance management. You will bring your experience to help in automating all aspects of security management, including cloud and network security workflows.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20 years of experience managing customer projects to completion and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in the public sector industry with security clearance.
  • Experience securing Kubernetes/containerized workloads, private/public cloud/data center solutions, and with IAM, network security, data protection, cryptography, and pen testing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages.
  • Experience in system administration in Linux/Unix environments, including securing operating systems.
  • Experience with best practices in physical security implementations and with scalable network technologies (e.g., load balancers, firewalls).
  • Ability to be an advocate for partners and customers and to design processes and implement strategic projects that solve business and operational problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups, executing in a fast-paced, ambiguous and change-oriented environment that requires a high degree of deadline-driven productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted security advisor and resolve technical challenges for customers. Provide domain expertise in cloud computing security, data center security, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Work with customers to design and develop cloud and data center security architectures and processes. Play a key contributor role in the implementation and testing.
  • Create and deliver security implementation recommendations, sample code, and technical presentations, adapting to different levels or key technical stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps and propose changes to existing policy, systems, and process frameworks. Develop scalable solutions and work to manage risks across the organization and develop best practices that are a benefit across the organization's security postures.
  • Drive insights and efficacy of reach through broader team, ensuring that processes are defined and executed based on best practices established in key engagements.
