We are looking for driven and proactive professionals who want to develop their careers within our scale-up environment. As a Cloud Engineer at Nordcloud, you will team with the customer's cloud lead and enterprise architect, as well as the Nordcloud account partner and architect. You will work for manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services customers. Your proven cloud engineering experience and team spirit will help you to excel in a fast-paced environment. Your deep implementation knowledge and polished communication skills will foster customer relationships.
Your daily work:
- Capturing customer's functional and technical application, regulatory, and security requirements
- Establishing and running the CI/CD pipeline for Azure or AWS platforms
- Identifying and resolving application deployment issues and infrastructure vulnerabilities
- Documenting solution and operation details into runbooks
- Collaborating with local, near- and offshore automation, migration, and operation business lines
- Containerizing and modernizing cloud workloads into Azure or AWS
- Advocating customers to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Identifying new cloud services for existing customers
Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of web application development experience using Python, JavaScript, SQL, Ansible, and Helm
- 2+ years of experience working in a DevSecOps environment and with infrastructure and platform sizing for infrastructure cost reduction
- 2+ years of experience in configuration management such as Jenkins, Chef, Packer, or Git
- Experience with IaC such as Terraform, containerization in Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift
- Good understanding of storage technologies incl. cloud storage, DAS, NAS, and SAN and customer-first attitude and experience in serving large-scale customers
- Fluent communication skills in English; German and French are a plus
Nice to have:
- It is a strong advantage if you are already a certified architect with at least one specialization in Azure or AWS
